I incorporate my interest in delivering art to a broad audience into my teaching. In addition to traditional modes of display, I encourage students to explore what may or may not still qualify as "alternative delivery systems," such as these mobile art galleries. The first iteration was a collaboration with elective students at Kansas City Art Institute in November 2001, and the second was executed with students at Maine College of Art in Spring of 2003. In each case, artworks were sold (and often sold out) at very affordable prices, with half the proceeds going to the artist and the other half benefiting the Red Cross in Kansas City, and going to purchase books about artists who deliver work in innovative ways for the Joanne Waxman Library at Maine College of Art (MECA).
